Patch Overview
This MAX/MSP patch utilizes the Rossler Attractor, a non linear three dimensional chaotic equation, and a Gaussian probability function to determine the playback functions of keyboard notes. The Gaussian distribution function determines the randomization of notes being played by pitch. The user can change the coefficient of each dimension of the Rossler Attractor equation to vary velocity, tempo, and overdrive of the keys that are played. x corresponds to overdrive, y corresponds to the tempo of the randomized keys, and z corresponds to the velocity of the played key. A visual representation of the Rossler Attractor is also provided in the patch. Written in MAX/MSP.
